A comprehensive 2-day Manual Lymphatic Drainage course introducing professionals to the history of MLD and its founder, Dr. Emil Vodder. This career-changing class includes a comprehensive overview of the Anatomy and Physiology of the Lymph System.

The hands-on portion teaches self-lymph techniques and how to help clients with self-lymph between sessions. Participants will learn to perform a 50-minute full body protocol they can offer clients immediately.

The course covers pathophysiology, indications, contraindications, and assessment tools.

  • This is a prerequisite for the 4-day MLD Certification class being offered later this year

    • Sat. & Sun., June 6 and 7, 2026

  • Tuition: $425 – payment due in full at booking to reserve your spot

  • Capacity: 7-10 participants

  • Location: Rooted Wellness Company, 155 Broadway Rd, Dracut, MA

  • CE hours: 16 CEUs available (8 hours per day)

  • What to bring: Massage table (required), fitted sheet, face cradle cover, blanket, notebook, water, lunch

  • What to wear: Flexible clothing you can move in. No jeans.

Note: Our regular weekly Saturday yoga class will run 8:00-9:00 AM that weekend to accommodate the training.

  • Licensed massage therapists seeking to add MLD to their practice and earn CEUs

  • Those currently enrolled in a massage school or training program to become a LMT.

This comprehensive 2-day course will equip you with immediate, practical skills you can use with clients right away. You will learn:

  • The history of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and its founder, Dr. Emil Vodder

  • A complete overview of the Anatomy and Physiology of the Lymph System

  • Self-lymph techniques you can teach yourself and your clients

  • A complete 50-minute full body MLD protocol ready to offer immediately

  • Pathophysiology of the lymphatic system

  • Indications and contraindications for MLD treatment

  • Assessment tools for evaluating clients

  • Hands-on partner practice each day with instructor guidance

  • Techniques specifically adapted for massage therapists

Supplies: You must bring your own massage table, fitted sheet, face cradle cover, and a light blanket.

Lunch: Student's responsibility, but light snacks and drinks will be provided.
